Fantastic weekend of 5 & 6 year old birthday parties in Winchester.
The first party was a joint 6 year old party at the scout hut on Stockbridge road, Winchester. Unfortunately for me, I mistakenly turned up at the wrong scout hut a little bit further down the road, only to find that there was nobody there. I quick call to the birthday mum sorted this and I headed back down the road to the correct hut.
It was the first time I had been to this particular scout hut and I have to say it was AMAZING! Literally a log cabin. This means that the walls were made of actual wood and this gives huge advantages in the sound quality of the hall.
Many halls have plaster or even concrete walls with nothing to soften the sound, when you have a hard floor and ceiling as well this can cause quite an echo for the disco. This is all avoided when the hall has sort furnishings or is made of wood as this hall was. Brilliant!
We had a great time celebrating with Otis and Ezra with the magic and disco package. Their special balloons were a Transformer (I made bumblebee) and a Pokemon (I made Pikachu). The kids loved them and I even had parents asking to take pictures of the balloons to show their kids at home.
After I got home I got a notification on Instagram thanking me for the day including a couple of picture. Mum was so impressed with the man eating balloon routine and said on her post ‘Thank you Benny Balloon (and if you’re looking for a children’s party entertainer near us this should be your first call. The kids and parents loved him.)’
The next party was a 5 year old party in Worthy Down Community Centre, another great hall with great acoustics. We had a great time with Elsie and all her friends. We even had a visit from Elsie’s dog Bonny, a beautiful German Shepherd puppy.
Elsie’s special balloon was Elisa from frozen. I have to say with the similarities in names it was almost a tongue twister to say ‘Elsa for Elsie’.
