So what makes a great childrens entertainer?

First and foremost the focus has to be on entertaining, whether it is magic, balloons, music, dancing or games. The point is to give everyone at the party an entertainment experience.

The number of times Benny has had parent’s come up to him after a children’s party and say ‘never mind the kids, I had so much fun today’.

In fact, Benny has been booked for adult birthday parties, weddings and even hen do’s of the back of a children’s birthday party.

That doesn’t me Benny isn’t completely focused on the children, more that quality entertainment will translate beyond just the age group it is targeted to.

Most parents get as much pleasure from watching their kids have a good time than from having a good time themselves.

Being an entertainer and connecting with everyone is the key to making sure it’s a great time no matter what the age of the guests.

The magic and music are simply the vehicles Benny uses to achieve the end result and top priority, to entertain.

Children are not all the same. There is a huge variation and each child is an individual.

Typically younger age groups need a softer quieter show and as they get older they become more gregarious until they reach the stage around 8 or 9 where they start to see themselves as older and more serious.

Even within that framework, there are individual differences of circumstance and character.

There is also the group dynamic to consider as children regularly act and interact differently when on their own or with a group of friends.

Before Benny was an entertainer, he used to work in early years education. He has five children of his own and understands the developmental relevant psychology.

Benny is always sensitive to these variations and dynamics. More than this, although the goal is to make it a great party for all the kids, the birthday child experience is always the priority.

Benny takes special care to ensure that the birthday child feels extra special with the opportunity for them to come up on stage and become the centre of attention, but is flexible with this as some kids prefer to sit back and watch.

Treating all children as individuals is a key part of a successful party.

Southampton

Benny Balloon, was born and raised in Southampton, most of his parties are either in Southampton or the surrounding area.

Benny has performed for local Southampton football legends such as Matt Le Tissier and Francis Benali. He has performed at St Mary’s, on cruise ships, at many of the top hotels and pretty much every local hall.

This means he knows the best venues and his local knowledge ensure he is always punctual.

Woolston Community Centre – The acoustics in this hall are some of the best in Southampton.

Freemantle and Shirley Community Centre – This hall is just around the corner to where Benny grew up and had a stage were Benny’s equipment can be kept out of the way.

Totton and Eling Cricket Club – Another brilliant hall with great acoustics.
